What is Questa?
Questa is an 8 week course for people who have questions about God.
You may be the sort of person who enjoys a good discussion and want to express your doubts and hesitations about faith. Or you may be the sort of person who would rather sit and listen to the opinions of others and weigh the evidence. Most people have bad experiences they would like to talk about, questions they would like answered, and things they are puzzled about. Questa is for you.
There is no obligation (and no charge). You can try the first session and decide it is not for you if you wish. We try to be flexible by choosing an evening and venue that suits (usually a home where we can enjoy a coffee and chat in a relaxed atmosphere). We do our utmost to accommodate shift patterns etc.
The topics range from "Why is religion such a turn-off?" and "If God is loving and powerful, why does He allow suffering?" to questions about other religions and the nitty-gritty of the life and death of Jesus. "What happens when I die?" and "does faith make a difference?" are also covered. But, in past groups we have covered just about every topic under the sun as we encourage people to talk about stuff they feel is relevant. Each session starts with a theme (and usually ends with it) but the discussion is varied and often hilarious.
