Dartford is a great place to live. Most people are friendly, cheerful and warm. We have some brilliant architecture and fantastic open spaces. There are a wealth of shops, a market, shopping malls, and shopping areas. The council spends a lot of time and effort making this a good place to live - our parks are second to none, and our rubbish removal and recycling are regular and efficient. We have an amazing transport network. We want the very, very best for Dartford. God loves the people here and He tells us in the Bible to pray for our home town, it's people and it's prosperity. That is easy, for God has put His love in our hearts. Take a look at the beauty of Dartford, and some of it's gems: the people who live and work here>>>>> |
![]() | Highfield Road Baptist Church has regular contact with the other churches in Dartford. They love Dartford too. The churches work together in making Dartford a better place to live. They believe that God defends the disadvantaged. You may have seen the 'Street Pastors' out on a Friday night. They are Christians who have made themselves available to 'be there' for those who need a helping hand as they leave the clubs etc. We also provide a 'safe place' . We have a 'food bank' which opens every Tuesday to cater for the growing number of families who are unable to afford 'basics'. The local churches pray together for Dartford. We have recently had an evening praying for our M.P. , one devoted to praying for the Health Service and also an evening praying for those who keep our community safe. You will find a warm welcome amongst those who are committed disciples of Jesus Christ - and Dartford is full of them! |
